This song was written largely about stuff I did growing up in the southeast Arkansas Delta. Dave Morgan plays rhythm guitar on this piece and Carter plays a variety of instruments including mandolin to give it a Zydeco flavor.
Mainly, a song for praise and worship that is taken from Revelation 1:14-15.
Growing older together. Tony Gowin, superb pianist, showcased in this song.
Going to great antics to show love. Tony Gowin helps again on this jazzy number. This song has special sentiment as it was transcribed and arranged by Nancy Roberts, a friend, who has since died of Alzheimer’s. This song took a lot of breath!
Our savior conquered death. Carter gets out the acoustic and nylon guitars on this one.
Selection from “Resurrection,” a cantata performed and copyrighted in 1983. Words and music by me and transcription, harmonization and arrangement by retired music professor, Dr. Elin Stene (1906-1995).
Life was simple before I realized how much I was missing. Driving acoustic and electric guitars by Carter on this number.
Complex bittersweet ditty. Me on keyboard, while Carter brings in the cello and French horn. Especially happy to get this song out…!!!
Written after 9/11 by Clay Coulter. Background vocals and synthesizer by Carter Green.
The Lord’s Prayer: in the public domain based on Matthew 6: 9-13. Took me 1 ½ years to get the chords right on this song. We utilized French horn, oboe and violins on this number. Pizzicato and tympani were used for percussive emphasis.
